UP CM Adityanath offers prayers at Tirumala temple; Seeks Divine Blessings for AP, UP and Entire Country
Tirumala, Sept 8(TNT): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala on Monday evening and sought the blessings of Lord Venkateswara for the welfare of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and the country.
Yogi Adityanath had darshan of Lord Venkateswara through the Vaikuntham Queue Complex.
After darshan, Vedic scholars offered Veda Ashirvachanam to him at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary presented him with theertha prasadam of Lord Venkateswara.
Speaking to the media, the UP Chief Minister said he prayed to Venkateswara, an incarnation of Maha Vishnu, to shower his blessings on AP, UP and the entire nation.
He appreciated the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for its efficient management of pilgrims, cleanliness and efforts to preserve the spiritual atmosphere of the hill shrine.
The UP Chief Minister also expressed happiness over having darshan of the utsava deities of Sita, Lakshmana and Ramachandra Swamy on the occasion of Punarvasu Nakshatram.
He said the tradition of taking the deities in procession was established by Saint Ramanujacharya more than 1,000 years ago.
“Along with Venkateswara, I had the privilege of the divine darshan of Maryada Purushottam today,” he said.
The two Pontiffs of Tirumala and one of the chief priests of the temple, Venugopala Deekshitulu, were present during the procession.
AP Minister Narayana, AP BJP chief Madhav, TTD Board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy and others accompanied the UP Chief Minister.
TTD CVSO Muralikrishna, Tirupati SP Subbarayudu, DyEO Bhaskar and other officials were also present.
