Bengaluru Squash Open 2026 to Draw Over 300 Players from 18 States
Bengaluru, Sept 8 (TNT): The fourth edition of the Bengaluru Squash Open 2026, with White Lotus Group as the title sponsor, will bring together more than 300 squash players from 18 states at The Bengaluru Club from September 9 to 13.
The tournament, part of the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI) 3 Star National Circuit and recognised by the Squash Association of Karnataka, will feature competitions across Junior, Open and Masters categories.
Among those participating are Abhyuday Naudiyal, runner-up at the Uttarakhand Squash Open and Northern Squash Slam 2025, besides emerging players Gautham Atmakur and Advaith Thottapayil.
The five-day tournament will feature junior draws in the U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 categories, along with Open and Masters events.
The finals will be held on September 13.
White Lotus Group, a design-led luxury real estate developer in South India, is the title sponsor of the tournament. The company said its association with squash reflects its broader focus on discipline, precision, practice and excellence, while supporting young players and providing them a platform to compete at the national level.
Pavan Kumar, Founder of White Lotus Group and an avid squash player, said the company had a long-standing association with sport and believed in creating spaces where ambition and excellence could thrive.
“Every sport eventually teaches the same lesson: mastery is not built by trying a hundred things. It is built by returning to one thing, again and again, until it becomes instinct,” he said.
Kumar said the group was proud to support the Bengaluru Squash Open and looked forward to providing young players an opportunity to compete and develop through the tournament.
The tournament assumes added significance with squash set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Organisers said the growing participation in squash at the junior and senior levels in India and tournaments such as the Bengaluru Squash Open would provide players with greater competitive exposure.
Mekhala Srivastava, Tournament Director of the Bengaluru Squash Open Organising Committee, said the tournament had grown over the past four editions in terms of both participation and competition.
“Moving to the 3 Star SRFI National Circuit has further strengthened the tournament and given players from different parts of the country an opportunity to compete in Bengaluru,” she said.
With over 300 players expected from 18 states, the organisers are looking forward to another competitive edition while providing a platform for young players pursuing careers in squash, she added.
The White Lotus Bengaluru Squash Open 2026 will be held at The Bengaluru Club from September 9 to 13.
