TelanganaGovernor offers prayers at Ujjaini Mahakali Temple during Bonalu

Secunderabad, Aug 3 (TNT: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and his wife Janaki Shukla on Monday offered prayers at the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple in Secunderabad on the occasion of the Ashada Bonalu festival.

The Governor and his wife participated in the traditional Bonalu rituals by offering Bonam and Pattu Vastralu to Goddess Sri Ujjaini Mahakali and performed special prayers for the welfare of the people.

The Governor prayed for timely and abundant rainfall, a bountiful harvest, the prosperity of farmers, and peace, good health and happiness for the people of Telangana.

He also sought the Goddess’ blessings for the state’s continued peace, harmony and overall development.

The couple was received with traditional temple honours by the priests amid Vedic chanting.

Following the special rituals, the temple priests presented them with Theertha Prasadam.

Endowments Commissioner M. Hanumantha Rao, District Collector Dr. Priyanka Ala and members of the temple committee were present on the occasion.
