Greenply launches nano-tech anti-termite plywood with lifetime protection
New Delhi, Aug 3 (TNT): Greenply Industries Ltd. on Monday launched TermiVax, which it described as India’s first anti-termite vaccinated plywood powered by proprietary nanotechnology, aimed at providing lifetime protection against termite damage.
In a release, the company said the product integrates anti-termite protection into the plywood during the manufacturing process, unlike conventional surface coatings and post-installation chemical treatments, which offer only temporary protection and may lose effectiveness over time.
The nanotechnology-based compound penetrates deep into the plywood, providing protection throughout the board rather than only on its surface, particularly in damp and wet conditions where termite infestation is more common, it said.
The company said the product has been tested and approved by the Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI).
Commenting on the launch, Greenply Joint Managing Director Sanidhya Mittal said the innovation addresses one of the biggest concerns of homeowners by providing a durable and technology-driven solution for termite protection while setting new benchmarks in the plywood industry.
TermiVax technology will be available across Greenply’s plywood range, including Greenply Marine 710, Greenply Gold, Greenply Platinum, Greenply Club 500 and Greenply Club 700, the company said.
