Telangana govt gears up for Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026
Hyderabad, Sept 23 (TNT): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday directed officials to make comprehensive preparations for the Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026, scheduled to be held from December 7 to 9, with a focus on attracting investments to the State.
At a preparatory meeting held at the State Secretariat, Bhatti said the summit should be organised on a large scale and directed officials to ensure close coordination among departments for its successful conduct.
State Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Azharuddin and Adluri Laxman, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju and senior officials attended the meeting.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the summit would be the second global summit organised after the formation of the Praja Palana government and would provide an opportunity to lay a foundation for Telangana’s long-term economic development.
He said the government had set an ambitious target of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Around 10 committees of senior officials have been constituted to oversee arrangements for the summit, with each committee headed by a senior officer.
Bhatti directed officials to complete plans, budget estimates and approvals without delay. Executive Councils headed by the respective Ministers and conveners for the committees have also been constituted, he said.
Roadshows in India, abroad
The Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to identify countries, cities and sectors with investment potential in Telangana and prepare plans for domestic and international roadshows.
He asked officials to review investment opportunities across sectors in different countries and place the proposed roadshow plans before the Cabinet Sub-Committee for finalisation.
Global publicity
Bhatti called for extensive publicity for the summit through print, electronic, digital and social media platforms and directed officials to work towards ensuring participation of international media representatives.
He also instructed officials to review the progress of MoUs signed earlier and assess their implementation.
War room for daily monitoring
The Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to establish a dedicated war room to monitor summit-related activities and review progress on a daily basis.
He said the number of proposed conference halls could be increased from the current four to six or eight, depending on the response from delegates.
Bhatti said the summit should be viewed not merely as an event but as a long-term asset for Telangana and called upon officials to work in coordination towards attracting investments and promoting the State’s economic growth.
