Minister Konda Surekha invites Telangana Governor to attend Lashkar Bonalu celebrations

Hyderabad, July 30(TNT):Telangana Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla was invited to attend the Ashada Jatara (Lashkar Bonalu) celebrations to be held in Secunderabad by State Minister for Endowments Ms Konda Surekha, who called on him at Lok Bhavan here on Thursday along with Commissioner of Endowments  Hanumantha Rao.

During the meeting, the Minister formally presented the invitation to the Governor and requested him to grace the traditional festivities.

Earlier, the Governor released the book Footprints in the Forests – Memoirs of a Forester, authored by former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Telangana,  Paresh Kumar Sharma, IFS (Retd.), at Lok Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor underscored the importance of conserving forests and protecting biodiversity, stressing the need for sustained efforts to preserve the country’s natural heritage for future generations.

Among those present were Ms. Supriya Bhale Rao of SRAS Publications, Dr. Manoranjan Bhanja, IFS (Retd.), and psychologist and counsellor Ms. Neha Vyas.

Later, the Governor was called on by Visakha Sri Sharada Peethadhipathi Swaroopanandendra Saraswati Mahaswami at Lok Bhavan.

Retired IPS officer K.C. Reddy and My Bharat Telangana State Director Chi. Anvesh also met the Governor during the day.
