haf.vc invests Rs 3-cr in frontline workforce platform Hunar.AI

Hyderabad, Oct 22 (TNT): Early-stage venture capital fund haf.vc on Thursday announced a ₹3-crore investment in Hunar.AI, an artificial intelligence startup specializing in conversational solutions for frontline workforce management.
The funding round saw haf.vc invest alongside Blume Ventures and an angel syndicate, the venture capital firm said in a statement.
The capital will be deployed toward strengthening AI infrastructure, accelerating product development, and expanding sales operations to cater to enterprises managing high-volume, multi-location, and multilingual workforces.
Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI deploys conversational AI agents that automate hiring, onboarding, training, and worker engagement across multiple languages via voice bots and WhatsApp.
“India’s frontline workforce is huge, multilingual and largely underserved by technology. Hunar.AI understands this problem from the ground up,” said Kalyan Sivalenka, Managing Partner at haf.vc. “Its team began in workforce services and turned that experience into AI that works in the languages and workflows of the people it serves. Investing alongside Blume Ventures and a strong syndicate also reflects how haf.vc now works: Hyderabad capital backing the best founders across India.”
Krishna Khandelwal, Co-Founder and CEO of Hunar.AI, noted that partnering with the Hyderabad-based fund would accelerate enterprise penetration in the region.
“Hyderabad is one of the fastest-growing hubs for logistics, retail and services hiring, and that is exactly where frontline workforce problems are most acute. Having haf.vc on board strengthens our reach in this market as we take our multilingual conversational AI to more enterprises in Telangana,” he said.
Built on the legacy of angel network Hyderabad Angels, haf.vc is a SEBI-registered Category-I Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) that operates a pan-India, sector-agnostic investment strategy backing early-stage startups.
