GIM Opens Applications for 2027–29 Batch, Announces Scholarships and Fee Waivers

Goa, Sept 8 (TNT): Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has opened admissions for its 2027–29 batch, with applications invited for four full-time postgraduate management programmes offering a total of 720 seats.

The seats are distributed across the programmes as follows: PGDM – 300, PGDM in Healthcare Management (HCM) – 120, PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA) – 180, and PGDM in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services (BIFS) – 120.

Candidates seeking admission must have secured at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 45 per cent applicable to SC/ST candidates, the Institute said in a release on Tuesday.

Applicants must have taken or appeared for XAT 2027, CAT 2026 or GMAT between January 1, 2025 and January 31, 2027.

Students completing their degree requirements by June 2027 are also eligible to apply.

GIM’s admission process includes regular admissions and an Achiever’s Round, a profile-based shortlisting process that considers academic performance, sports, co-curricular activities and professional experience.

Candidates may be shortlisted for the Achiever’s Round without their CAT, XAT or GMAT scores being considered initially, with the scores taken into account subsequently.

Selected candidates may receive spot admission offers, while others may be considered along with candidates applying through the regular process.

The Achiever’s Round will be conducted in Goa, Kolkata and Delhi.

The key admission deadlines are October 22, 2026 for the First Mover round, November 19 for Early Bird applications, December 3 for the Achiever’s Round, December 23 for the CAT deadline and January 4, 2027 as the final application deadline.

GIM has also announced scholarships and tuition-fee waivers aimed at supporting meritorious and deserving students.

Under the Academic Competence and Excellence Scholarship Scheme (ACCESS), scholarships of Rs 5 lakh each will be awarded to 45 PGDM students, 21 BDA students, seven BIFS students and seven HCM students.

The institute also offers other tuition-fee waivers. Students from families with an annual income below Rs 8 lakh may be eligible for full tuition-fee waivers, subject to applicable conditions and limits.

Inviting aspiring students to apply, GIM Director Prof. Ajit Parulekar said the institute was committed to developing future leaders with academic excellence, adaptability and a strong sense of responsibility.

“At GIM, we are committed to nurturing future leaders who combine academic excellence with adaptability and a strong sense of responsibility.

Through our diverse programmes, Achiever’s Round, and scholarships, we aim to provide talented students with the opportunity to realise their potential,” he said.

Applications for the 2027–29 batch are open through GIM’s admission portal.
