Chief Election Commissioner of India Offers Prayers at Tirumala temple
Tirumala, May 10 (TNT): Chief Election Commissioner of India Gyanesh Kumar offered prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Sunday morning.
On his arrival at the temple entrance of the shrine, he was accorded a traditional welcome by TTD Additional Executive Officer Venkaiah Chowdary and temple priests.
During the visit, the Chief Election Commissioner offered prayers to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara inside the sanctum sanctorum.
He also offered prayers at the shrines of Vakula Matha, Ananda Nilayam Vimana Venkateswara, Bhashyakarla Sannidhi and Yoga Narasimha Swamy Temple.
After the darshan, Vedic scholars rendered Vedasirvachanam to Gyanesh Kumar at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
Later, TTD Additional Executive Officer Venkaiah Chowdary presented Srivari prasadam to the Chief Election Commissioner.
