CII Partnership Summit to Be Held in Visakhapatnam on Nov 12-13
Amaravati, June 29 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to organise the 31st CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13 with greater emphasis on regional participation, knowledge exchange and futuristic sectors.
Reviewing the preparations for the summit at the Secretariat here, the Chief Minister said the event would be held under the theme, “Navigating Change: Leadership, Technology, Trust and Trade in a Transforming World.”
Naidu instructed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the two-day summit, including facilitating the signing of investment MoUs and inviting leading industrialists, national and international companies, Union Ministers and delegates from various countries.
He also directed officials to write to the Chief Ministers of all states seeking their participation in the summit.
Emphasising the need for extensive promotion, the Chief Minister asked officials to organise roadshows in India and abroad between July and September.
Officials informed him that promotional events were being planned in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
Naidu also proposed holding regional partnership meetings in Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram or Kakinada, Amaravati, Anantapur and Tirupati ahead of the main summit to encourage wider participation.
He said the Partnership Summit should not be viewed merely as a platform for attracting investments or signing MoUs, but as a forum for meaningful discussions on public policy, business, technology and emerging global challenges.
The Chief Minister stressed the need to focus on future-oriented sectors and ensure participation by experts from leading universities and industry.
He said discussions should also cover agriculture, horticulture, natural farming, circular economy, spirituality and stress-free work culture.
Naidu said the government was also planning to establish the CII Global Leadership Centre in Amaravati.
He emphasised that regional partnership meets should encourage greater participation from youth, students and innovators, providing them with opportunities to showcase their ideas before industry leaders.
Such initiatives would help disseminate new ideas and create greater public awareness about the government’s development initiatives, he added.
Ministers T.G. Bharath, Kondapalli Srinivas, P. Narayana, Kandula Durgesh and Gottipati Ravi Kumar, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee and senior officials attended the review meeting.
