Hyderabad business environment sees strong growth, investor interest: CS
Hyderabad, Aug 28 (TNT): Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Friday said Hyderabad was witnessing strong growth in its business environment and attracting increasing interest from investors.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026, Jaju said the real estate sector was an important component of the city’s economic development and the government was committed to promoting transparent and trustworthy development.
The property show features more than 300 RERA-approved projects from over 60 developers.
CREDAI Hyderabad President N Jaideep Reddy sought government intervention on pending issues relating to the 10 per cent building permit mortgage and NALA-linked components. He said Hyderabad’s real estate market continued to remain on a growth trajectory.
CREDAI Hyderabad President-Elect B Jagannath Rao said more than 26,100 homes were sold in Hyderabad during the first half of 2026, covering around 60 million sq ft of super built-up area. The average unit size was around 2,300 sq ft, while the average ticket size rose 10 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2.03 crore, he said.
CRE Matrix CEO and Co-Founder Abhishek Kiran Gupta said Hyderabad had around 1,42,722 unsold homes, with nearly four-fifths of the inventory still under construction. The city had close to 170 million sq ft of Grade-A office stock, with another 103 million sq ft under construction through 2031, he said.
According to Gupta, Hyderabad recorded housing sales worth nearly Rs 52,900 crore in H1 2026, while residential absorption stood at close to 60 million sq ft, reflecting the strength of the city’s real estate market.
CREDAI Hyderabad, along with CRE Matrix, also unveiled a report covering housing supply, sales velocity, unit configurations and zonal trends in Hyderabad.
The property show will feature programmes in association with the Hyderabad Literary Festival, including discussions on city planning and liveability, literary readings and a quiz on Hyderabad’s history, culture and contemporary life.
