Bihar Govt Allocates 15 Acres for Srivari Temple Near Patna

Tirumala, June 17: (TNT): In a major boost to its efforts to promote Sanatana Dharma and spread the glory of Lord Venkateswara across the country, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has received 15 acres of land from the Bihar government for the construction of a Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple near Patna.

The proposed temple will come up on the banks of the River Ganga, close to Bihar’s capital city and adjacent to a National Highway, providing easy access to devotees, TTD said in a release here on Wednesday.

TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, who met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary,  expressed gratitude for the allocation of land.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister was felicitated with a shawl and presented with a Srivari memento.

Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Pratyay was also present on the occasion.

According to TTD, the temple complex will include a Kalyana Mandapam, Pushkarini and other facilities for the convenience of pilgrims.

The organisation plans to expedite construction to meet the spiritual needs of devotees in the region.

The allotment of 15 acres of land near Patna for the construction of a Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple marks another significant milestone in TTD’s nationwide temple expansion initiative.

This follows the ongoing process of allotting 10 acres of land for a similar Srivari temple in Guwahati, Assam, reflecting growing support from state governments for the propagation of Sanatana Dharma and the establishment of devotional centres for devotees across the country.
