FTCCI to host ‘Telangana Through the Lens-2026’ photography contest

Hyderabad, Aug 19 (TNT):  The Tourism Committee of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) is organising “Telangana Through the Lens-2026”, an open photography contest to mark World Photography Day and showcase the State’s diverse and lesser-explored tourism potential.

The contest, themed “Explore, Experience and Exhibit the Spirit of Telangana Tourism,” invites photography enthusiasts to capture the State’s culture, heritage, landscapes, architecture, festivals, wildlife, cuisine, traditions and people, with emphasis on hidden and lesser-known tourist attractions, the Federation said in a release here on Wednesday.

FTCCI Tourism Committee Chairman Prakash Ammanabolu, Co-Chairman D. Ramchandram and FTCCI Director Sangeetha Parisaboina said the initiative aims to encourage people to explore Telangana and bring its lesser-known tourism destinations into the public spotlight.

The contest is open to all, irrespective of age or professional background, and there is no entry fee.

Participants can submit any number of entries.

The photographs must be original and should not use filters or artificial image enhancements. Entries have to be submitted in JPEG format, with each photograph not exceeding 1 MB.

The last date for submission of entries is September 10, 2026.

Entries can be submitted through the prescribed online form with the subject line “Telangana Tourism Photography Contest Entry – Your Name.”

Each submission should include the participant’s full name, contact number, email ID and a brief description of the photograph, including its location and context.

The contest carries cash prizes of Rs 15,000 for the first prize, Rs 10,000 for the second prize and Rs 7,500 for the third prize. Five consolation prizes of Rs 1,500 each will also be awarded.
