Telangana Public Schools to be established in Every Assembly Constituency: CM

Hyderabad, June 17 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday announced that the State Government will establish Telangana Public Schools (TPS) in every Assembly constituency to provide quality education and nurture sporting talent capable of representing India at the highest levels in the future.

Speaking after inaugurating the Telangana Public School at Arutla in Ranga Reddy district, the Chief Minister said the future of Telangana lies not in grand buildings but in its classrooms.

“The future of Telangana does not lie in glass-embellished palaces or colourful walls. We firmly believe it lies within the classrooms,” he said.

Dedicating the Arutla school to government school students across the state, Revanth Reddy said the initiative would benefit nearly 27 lakh students studying in government educational institutions.

He noted that the government is strengthening public education based on the recommendations of the Education Commission.

The Chief Minister said 1,814 students had already enrolled in the Arutla Telangana Public School, making it necessary to display a “No Admission” board due to overwhelming demand.

He praised the school’s teachers for successfully competing with corporate educational institutions and said the Telangana Public Schools initiative was aimed at reviving and strengthening the public education system.

Revanth Reddy recalled that several distinguished leaders and officials, including former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao, had studied in government schools.

He urged students to excel academically and aspire to become IAS and IPS officers, as well as future political leaders.

Highlighting the government’s welfare measures in education, the Chief Minister said students are being provided breakfast, midday meals, quality uniforms and educational kits.

He added that the establishment of Young India Integrated Residential Schools and the Young India Skills University reflects the government’s commitment to quality education and skill development.

Emphasising the importance of sports, Revanth Reddy said the government had established the Young India Sports University with the objective of producing Olympic medal winners. A sports training programme has already been introduced in schools to identify and nurture talent at an early age.

The Chief Minister also referred to the international football event hosted in Hyderabad featuring Argentine football legend Lionel Messi, stating that the government successfully organised the programme despite criticism from political opponents.

Calling on the people to support the government’s efforts, Revanth Reddy said Telangana is being transformed into a model state through sustained investments in education, skills and sports development.

He also urged opposition leaders to visit the Arutla Telangana Public School and witness the government’s initiatives to strengthen public education.
