Umar Alisha flagged off Environmental awareness rally in Kakinada
Kakinada, June 5 (TNT): Dr Umar Alisha chief of the Pithapuram Sri Viswa Vignana vidya Adhyathmika Peetham flagged of the World Environment Day rally at the Peetham kakinada ashram here on Friday.
The rally from Vakalapudi ashram passed through Ramanaiahpeta, Sarpavaram junction and culminated into a meeting at the statue of ` Kavisekhara Umar Alisha’ at the boat club .
MLC Perabathula Rajasekhar attended as the chief guest while JNTUK professor Dr Uday Bhaskar, Retired RTO Chikkam Ramachandrarao, CHEYUTHA voluntary service organization president Ravikumar, Joseph technologies CEO Yerramsetti Chalapathirao, Santhi Ashram former chief Satyanarayana participated as the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasxion, Rajasekharam has called upon the people over the need for environmental protection and ecological balance by extensive plantation and developing the greenery.
There was interlink between creation and human beings as such people should strive for protecting the ecological balance and bio diversity, he added.
Dr Umar Alisha who chaired the session delivered a message asking the people to each one of them to plant three saplings and nurture them as the Gods ` Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswera’.
`Nurture them and the flowers and fruits derived from them offer to these teen murty and receive as Maha Prasadam so that entire family members would receive the divine blessings. It was the duty of every one to protect the Nature and living beings’ Dr Umar Alisha said.
All the guests were welcomed at the boat club by Peruri Suribabu Peetham convenor and central committee members .
They served the butter milk from the butter milk kiosk(chalivendram ) maintained by the Umar Alisha rural development trust.
Later at the Mother India International organization annual function held at the JNTUK senate hall, Peetham chief Umar Alisha attended as the Chief Guest. JNTUK vice chancellor Dr VSRK Prasad conferred on Dr Umar Alisha the ` Viswa Vignan Keerti’ title on behalf of Mother India international.
