TTD plans to modernise Goshalas with Vantara’s support
Tirumala, Sept 26 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has drawn up plans to modernise its Goshalas and animal care centres, with Vantara, a Reliance Industries initiative, offering to undertake the development works free of cost.
TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary held a meeting with Vantara representatives here on Saturday to discuss the proposed improvements.
The development plan includes tiling walls, painting steel structures, installing GI mesh to prevent the entry of birds and other animals, providing stainless-steel gates, repairing walls and undertaking painting works.
The facilities will be designed to accommodate the natural movement of cattle and include adequate ventilation, proper fodder and drinking-water facilities, efficient drainage and green surroundings, according to Vantara representatives.
During the meeting, the Vantara team made a presentation outlining the proposed infrastructure improvements, animal welfare measures and plans to maintain hygienic and comfortable surroundings for the cattle.
Venkaiah Chowdary stressed the need to produce, as far as possible, the milk products required for the Lord’s Kainkaryams locally in Tirumala.
He directed officials to prepare a detailed plan to meet the requirements, aiming to improve TTD’s self-sufficiency in supplying milk products for religious services.
TTD Joint Executive Officer for Health and Education Prabhala Gopinath, SV Goshalas Director Siva Kumar, Superintending Engineer Venu Gopal, Executive Engineer Srinivasa Rao and other officials attended the meeting.
