Telangana Governor to Inaugurate Salar Jung Museum Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on June 14

Hyderabad, June 13 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will inaugurate the week-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Salar Jung Museum on June 14.

The celebrations, scheduled to be held from June 14 to 21, are being organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, whose priceless art collections form the foundation of one of India’s most renowned museums.

According to museum authorities, the Platinum Jubilee Week will feature a series of special exhibitions, cultural programmes, educational activities, publications and public outreach initiatives.

The celebrations aim to showcase the museum’s rich historical legacy and rare collections to a wider audience while creating greater awareness among younger generations about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

The week-long events are also expected to highlight the significant contribution of Salar Jung III to the preservation of art, antiquities and historical artefacts, which have earned the museum national and international recognition.

Museum officials said the programmes have been designed to encourage public participation and deepen appreciation for India’s diverse cultural and artistic traditions.
