Telangana CM invites investors to double investment in state
New Delhi, Oct 29 (TNT) : Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday invited domestic and global investors to invest in the State, urging them to double their proposed investments and partner in its development, as the government targets a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047.
Addressing the curtain-raiser event for the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 in New Delhi, he said the State aimed to become a USD one trillion economy by 2034 and contribute 10 per cent to India’s target of a USD 30 trillion economy by 2047.
“My competition for Hyderabad is not Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai or Bengaluru. It is with New York, London, Tokyo, Seoul and Dubai,” Revanth Reddy said, asserting that Telangana was positioning itself as a global investment destination.
The Chief Minister assured investors that he would act as the guardian of their investments and said the government was ready to introduce new policies and extend the necessary support to facilitate business growth.
He urged industry representatives to share their ideas and suggestions, saying the government wanted to learn from investors and translate their inputs into policies to accelerate economic development.
Revanth Reddy welcomed the Centre’s support for infrastructure projects in Telangana, including the Regional Ring Road, Metro Rail expansion and the proposed Navy radar centre.
He also referred to plans for three high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad with Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune, and the proposed airports at Warangal and Adilabad.
Stressing the need to reduce government intervention and remove obstacles to investment, he said his role was to facilitate projects and create an enabling business environment.
The Chief Minister invited investors to attend the Invest Telangana Global Summit, scheduled for December 7, 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad.
He highlighted Hyderabad’s history as a centre of trade, education and infrastructure, and its growing profile in attracting foreign investment and global talent.
He also recalled the contributions of former Prime Ministers Rajiv Gandhi and P V Narasimha Rao to India’s technological and economic development.
Revanth Reddy said the State’s Telangana Rising 2047 vision was aligned with the national goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 and called for greater cooperation between the government and industry to achieve the ambitious economic targets.
