PURE plans 300 Youth Hubs across Telangana by October-end
Hyderabad, Sept 16 (TNT): Global non-profit organisation PURE (People for Urban and Rural Education) plans to establish 300 Youth Hubs across Telangana by the end of October 2026 as part of its expansion of youth leadership and community development programmes.
Founded in the US by Indian-origin entrepreneurs Dr Shyla Talluri and Archana Purini, PURE has a presence in nine countries and has impacted more than one million lives through its programmes and community initiatives, according to the company.
PURE currently has more than 100 Youth Hubs across its global network.
Its activities focus on education, youth leadership, women and girls, AI and future readiness, and community and climate action.
The proposed Youth Hubs in Telangana will provide young people with platforms to learn, connect, develop leadership skills and undertake projects addressing local community needs.
Each hub will undertake three community projects, while members will have opportunities to participate in one national and one international project every year, the organisation said.
The programme follows a “learning by doing” approach, enabling young people to work directly with communities and gain exposure to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
PURE said it was also focusing on AI literacy, digital learning and responsible technology use to help young people prepare for a rapidly changing employment landscape.
The organisation recently marked its 10th anniversary in Hyderabad, highlighting its work in education, youth leadership and community empowerment.
The anniversary programme was attended by PURE Advisor Parvathi Sudarshan, PURE Youth Council Chairman Prema Sudershan, senior Telangana government official Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof V Balakista Reddy, C Shekhar Reddy of CMMD Estates, Telangana State BJP Treasurer Devaki Vasudeva Rao and former PURE Chairman Dr Sandhya Shakuntala, among others.
A book titled “The Blueprint for Youth”, featuring youth activities, was also released on the occasion.
PURE said it works with governments, educational institutions, companies, volunteers and communities to develop programmes based on local needs and encourage young people to participate in community development.
