PM Modi to inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi on Sept 17
New Delhi, Sept 16 (TNT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 at Yashobhoomi here on Thursday and address the gathering, as India hosts a major global industry event focused on building its semiconductor and electronics ecosystem.
The three-day conference and exhibition, being held from September 17 to 19, will be organised on the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem” and will bring together global and Indian companies, policymakers, investors, researchers, start-ups, academic institutions and students from across the semiconductor and electronics value chain.
The conference will focus on collaboration, investment, innovation and talent development in the semiconductor sector.
Parallel sessions will cover developments in the display industry, six country roundtables aimed at facilitating collaboration and joint ventures, and a forum on women’s leadership, among other sessions.
SEMICON India 2026 will adopt a value-chain approach covering semiconductor materials, equipment, chip design, fabrication, advanced packaging, electronics and systems.
A new “Sand to Silicon to Systems” Value Chain Experience will showcase the progression across the semiconductor ecosystem.
More than 600 companies are expected to participate in the event, which is projected to attract around 50,000 visitors, including representatives from 52 countries, more than 400 executives and over 150 speakers.
The exhibition will feature country pavilions representing Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore and Sweden, along with 12 State booths, a Startup Pavilion, Innovation Showcase, Student Hackathon and Workforce Development Pavilion.
