MIC Electronics sets up wholly-owned defence systems subsidiary

Hyderabad, Sept 15 (TNT): Hyderabad-based MIC Electronics Limited has established a wholly-owned subsidiary, MIC Defence Systems Private Limited, to expand its presence in the defence and aerospace sectors.

The subsidiary will focus on defence electronics and systems, aerospace, homeland security, unmanned systems, communication and surveillance solutions, the company said in a release on Tuesday.

Its areas of operation will also include electronic warfare, artificial intelligence-based defence technologies, cybersecurity and other allied products and services.

MIC Electronics said the new entity would provide a dedicated platform to pursue opportunities in established defence electronics applications as well as emerging technology areas.

MIC Electronics CEO Rakshit Mathur said the subsidiary would strengthen the company’s focus on technology-driven opportunities in defence and aerospace.

MIC Defence Systems is a 100 per cent subsidiary of MIC Electronics, with the entire shareholding held by the parent company.
