Hyd: BRAOU, CSC sign MoU to expand higher education, digital services

Hyderabad, Sept 17 (TNT): Dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) and Common Services Centres (CSC) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate easier access to higher education and digital services for university learners.

The MoU was signed at the university campus by BRAOU Registrar Dr L Vijaya Krishna Reddy and CSC Senior Vice-President and Telangana State Head Madan Mohan Rout in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof Ghanta Chakrapani.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Chakrapani said the partnership was an important step towards promoting technology-enabled education and making higher education accessible to learners, particularly those in rural and remote areas.

He said the collaboration would bring BRAOU’s academic programmes and digital services closer to learners and strengthen the university’s efforts to transform into a Digital University.

The Vice-Chancellor said students would be able to access information and services related to BRAOU’s academic programmes through around 12,000 CSC centres across Telangana.

He said the partnership would also help extend access to quality higher education beyond Telangana in the coming days.

BRAOU Director (Academic) Prof G Pushpa Chakrapani, Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre Coordinator Prof Pallavi Kabde, OSD to the Vice-Chancellor Prof D Rabindranath Solomon, CSC SPV Senior Vice-President Dr Vignesh Sornamohan, Telangana DGM Srinath Sudhamsu and other officials were present.
