Singareni must boost role in Telangana’s energy security: CMD
Hyderabad, Sept 17 (TNT): Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) should strengthen its contribution to Telangana’s industrial and economic development by efficiently meeting the state’s growing energy requirements, SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti said on Thursday.
Addressing employees and officials at Singareni Bhavan on the occasion of Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam 2026, Jyoti said sustained coal production and timely supply to thermal power stations were essential to maintaining the state’s energy security.
He said power consumption could increase due to El Niño conditions and called for greater preparedness to meet the state’s energy requirements.
The CMD, who unfurled the National Flag during the celebrations, said every Singareni employee had a responsibility to contribute to Telangana’s development and the progress of the nation.
He urged employees to discharge their duties with greater efficiency, commitment and dedication, keeping in view the interests of the company, the development of the state and national progress.
Jyoti said Singareni occupied an important position in Telangana’s development and had a responsibility to continue supporting the state’s industrial and economic growth.
He attributed the company’s achievements to the collective efforts of workers, employees, officers and trade union leaders and appreciated the contribution of all sections of the workforce.
The CMD expressed confidence that Singareni would achieve better results in the coming days through continued collective efforts.
