BikeWo plans pan-India expansion as it transforms into mobility, logistics platform
Hyderabad, Sept 16 (TNT): BikeWo Green Tech Limited, an NSE Emerge-listed company, on Wednesday announced plans to expand from its electric vehicle sales and distribution business into a technology-enabled mobility and logistics platform with a pan-India presence.
Its expansion strategy would focus on scaling operations, strengthening professional management, building strategic partnerships and pursuing selective inorganic opportunities, the Hyderabad based company said in a release here.
BikeWo said it has undertaken a preferential issue of over Rs 70 crore through warrants to support its growth plans.
It is targeting an increase in its vehicle base from around 3,000 in the previous financial year to approximately 10,000 vehicles in FY 2026-27.
The company said it is expanding across last-mile, mid-mile and long-mile transportation, enterprise mobility, specialised fleet applications, airport and aviation-linked logistics and related mobility infrastructure.
As part of its expansion, BikeWo has received contract orders from Reliance Industries Limited’s Bio Energy Division with an aggregate estimated value of approximately Rs 66.46 crore, with contractual validity extending up to July 31, 2033.
The contracts involve the hiring and deployment of electric tractors equipped with specialised loader, catcher and grabber applications, along with driver and vehicle-operation services.
BikeWo said the order marked an expansion of its electric mobility operations into specialised bio-energy, biomass handling and industrial logistics applications.
CEO Hiten Pal Saklani said the Reliance Bio Energy engagement was an important milestone in the company’s transition from its EV foundation to a scaled mobility and logistics solutions platform.
The company has also strengthened its professional leadership, with Saklani heading the organisation and Sumanth Badiga joining its Advisory Board. Badiga brings over three decades of experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, OEM relationships, vehicle distribution and specialised transportation applications.
BikeWo said it would pursue pan-India growth through organic expansion, strategic partnerships, investments and selective inorganic opportunities, while strengthening governance and operational capabilities.
The company said the Reliance engagement would also support the development of specialised electric mobility applications for bio-energy, biomass handling and industrial logistics.
BikeWo clarified that the targeted 10,000-vehicle figure for FY 2026-27 is a management target and not an achieved figure.
It also said the Rs 70-crore-plus preferential warrant amount is subject to subscription, exercise and applicable terms, while the approximately Rs 66.46-crore Reliance contract value is indicative and estimated, with actual revenues dependent on deployment and execution under the contractual terms.
