AI Construction Platform ‘Preckon’ Launched in UAE, Eyes GCC Expansion
Dubai, Aug. 7 (TNT): Artificial intelligence-powered construction intelligence platform Preckon was launched in Dubai on Friday , marking its entry into the UAE market and signalling a new phase of technology collaboration among India, Canada and the UAE.
The platform was formally launched by Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, IFS, Consul General of India in Dubai.
Developed by Canadian and Indian entrepreneurs, Preckon is designed to automate pre-construction planning, cost estimation, engineering drawing analysis and tender evaluation, while providing real-time project intelligence for contractors, consultants, developers and infrastructure companies.
In a release, the company said the AI-native platform aims to improve productivity, reduce project delays and support data-driven decision-making across the GCC construction sector.
The launch and the company’s regional expansion strategy were facilitated by Sundeep Kumar Makthala, who coordinated stakeholder engagement, government outreach, branding and market-entry initiatives.
Preckon was co-founded by Sreedhar Gonepally (Sunny), CEO and Co-Founder of AIGCC LLC-FZ and President of the Canada Chapter of the World Telugu IT Council (WTITC), along with technology entrepreneur Uma Mahesh Mukkara.
Following the launch, the delegation held discussions with senior officials of the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) on establishing the company’s regional operations in Ras Al Khaimah.
The discussions focused on opportunities for deploying AI-enabled construction technologies in the emirate’s growing infrastructure, industrial and tourism sectors.
The delegation also met officials of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) to explore collaboration in artificial intelligence, construction technology, innovation and research commercialisation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy welcomed growing collaboration among India, Canada and the UAE in emerging technologies and said the UAE offers a conducive ecosystem for technology companies seeking global expansion.
Sreedhar Gonepally said Preckon was developed to transform the construction industry through artificial intelligence and intelligent automation by enabling smarter decision-making, improving efficiency and reducing project costs.
The launch and subsequent engagements with RAKEZ and SRTIP underscore the growing cooperation between India, Canada and the UAE in artificial intelligence, construction technology and digital innovation, while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a regional hub for technology-led enterprises.
