NLC India Reports Higher Revenue, Profit in Q1 FY27
Chennai, Aug. 7 (TNT): State-owned NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) on Friday reported higher revenue and profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by increased coal production and power generation.
On a standalone basis, the company’s coal production rose 7.84 per cent to 40.85 lakh tonnes (LT) during the first quarter of FY27 from 37.88 LT in the corresponding period last year.
Thermal power generation increased 8.27 per cent to 4,318.85 million units (MU) from 3,988.98 MU, the company said in a release here.
Revenue from operations rose 15.07 per cent to Rs 2,871.73 crore, while EBITDA increased 1.13 per cent to Rs 1,013.13 crore. Profit before tax (PBT) grew 3.76 per cent to Rs 548.67 crore during the quarter.
The company’s net worth stood at Rs 19,701.70 crore as on June 30, 2026, registering a growth of 10.53 per cent over the year-ago period.
NLCIL also reported 100 per cent collection efficiency from power debtors, reflecting improved receivables management.
On a consolidated basis, gross power generation increased 25 per cent to 8,262.06 MU, while revenue from operations grew 23.29 per cent to Rs 4,716.75 crore during the quarter.
The group’s EBITDA rose 18.71 per cent to Rs 1,699.59 crore, while PBT increased 9.76 per cent to Rs 651.55 crore.
The group net worth stood at Rs 22,069.07 crore as on June 30, 2026, up 13.11 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
