Telangana Governor, Cm ex tend Bakrid Greetings

Hyderabad, May 27 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday extended greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of Bakrid (Eid-ul-Adha), which will be celebrated on May 28.

In his message, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla conveyed heartfelt wishes to Muslims across Telangana and described Bakrid as a festival symbolising sacrifice, supreme devotion and charity.

He said the festival holds a special place in Islamic faith and represents the values of sharing, reverence and helping the needy.

The Governor expressed hope that the celebrations would further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, service and sacrifice in society.

“By celebrating Bakrid in its true spirit, we promote peace, harmony, cooperation, compassion and unity in society,” he said, while extending Eid Mubarak greetings.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also conveyed greetings to Muslims and described Bakrid as a festival reflecting selflessness and devotion to Almighty God.

The Chief Minister said Muslims across the world celebrate the festival with deep reverence, commemorating the spirit of willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice.

“The festival reminds humanity of noble values such as sacrifice, charity, faith and humanism,” he said.

Revanth Reddy stated that Bakrid also conveys the message of moving forward on the path of righteousness with unwavering faith in God despite hardships in life.

He further said the festival proclaims the principle that there is no greater act of charity than sharing one’s resources with the needy during difficult times.
