AP CM Naidu assures approvals for institutions in ‘autopilot mode’ and stresses timely project execution

Amaravati, May 13 (TNT):Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday  assured that the State government would grant approvals for institutions in “autopilot mode” while expecting entrepreneurs to complete projects within stipulated timelines.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Bollineni Institute of Skill, Education and Research (BISER) at Nidamarru village in Amaravati, Naidu while stressing the importance of speedy execution,  said foundation ceremonies should quickly translate into operational projects and expressed hope that the proposed KIMS hospital in Amaravati would become functional by the same date in 2027.

Praising KIMS Chairman Dr Bhaskar Rao, Naidu said the institution had evolved from a small initiative into a major healthcare network and remarked that entrepreneurship was essential for wealth creation in both the State and the country.

The Chief Minister said the BISER initiative and KIMS project would create a large healthcare and skill-development ecosystem in Amaravati.

The proposed ecosystem includes a 500-bed super-specialty hospital, 250 medical seats, 1,000 non-medical seats, training for 1,000 healthcare professionals and employment opportunities for nearly 5,000 people, including in dental and physiotherapy sectors.

Highlighting global demand for healthcare professionals, Naidu said there was increasing need for doctors, nurses, technicians and paramedical staff worldwide and added that medical professionals must adapt to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Referring to industrial growth in the State, the Chief Minister said the government was focused on generating employment opportunities for youth and attracting investments.

He cited recent foundation ceremonies for major projects including those of Google and ArcelorMittal and directed that construction and operational timelines be strictly adhered to.

According to him, Google’s project should be completed before August 2028, while Phase-I of the ArcelorMittal plant should be operational by December 2028.

The Chief Minister also announced that Amaravati was emerging as a “Quantum Valley”, with companies such as IBM, Tata Consultancy Services and Larsen & Toubro participating in the initiative.

He said Andhra Pradesh would become home to India’s first quantum computer by December, with a 133-qubit quantum computer expected to be installed shortly.

Within two years, Amaravati could potentially emerge as a global supplier of quantum computing technologies, he added.

He said the State government had allocated ₹20,000 crore to the health sector in the budget and emphasised growing international demand for nurses and paramedical professionals.

He encouraged youth to learn foreign languages to access overseas employment opportunities.

Naidu also praised BISER’s AI-based visual assistance technology designed for persons with visual impairment and said digital healthcare services would be expanded through the Sanjeevani platform.

Reaffirming support to farmers who had contributed land for Amaravati, the Chief Minister said the capital city would be developed as a futuristic urban centre through further land pooling and major infrastructure projects, including a 190-km Outer Ring Road, additional bridges and flyovers across the Krishna river, airport expansion and development of hotels and healthcare infrastructure.

He added that Amaravati and Visakhapatnam would be developed into globally competitive cities, while Rayalaseema would emerge as a horticulture and technology hub.
