AP: Ashtabandhana Mahasamprokshanam begins at Devuni Kadapa temple
Devuni Kadapa, Aug 24 (TNT): The Jeernoddharana Ashtabandhana Mahasamprokshanam rituals at Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Devuni Kadapa commenced on Monday with traditional fervour and adherence to Agama practices.
As part of the first-day rituals, priests performed Manonmana Pramana Shanti Homam, Kumbha Sthapana, Panchagni Pranayanam and Sattumora from 8 am.
Special Vedic rituals are scheduled to be performed at the Yagasala at 6.30 pm.
On August 25, Chatushthanarchana, Ekashiti Kalasa Snapanam, Murthi Homam and Ashtabandhanam will be performed from 7.30 am.
Shayyadhivasam, Tattva Homams, Shanti Homam and Sattumora will be conducted in the evening from 6 pm.
On August 26, Chatushthanarchana, Murthi Homam and Prayaschitta Homam will be performed from 7 am.
The Maha Poornahuthi, Mahasamprokshanam and Kalakarshanam will be conducted from 9.45 am to 11.30 am under the auspicious Shravan Nakshatra and Tula Lagna, according to the temple authorities.
Devotees will be allowed darshan of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy after completion of the Mahasamprokshanam rituals.
AEO Ravi, Superintendent Hanumanthaiah, Temple Inspector Eshwar Reddy and temple priests participated in the rituals.
