Integrated Command Control Centre ensures faster and hassle-free darshan during summer rush in Tirumala

Tirumala, May 13 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has been successfully managing the heavy summer pilgrim rush at Tirumala Venkateswara Temple through its Integrated Command Control Centre, ensuring faster and more comfortable darshan for devotees despite record footfall.

According to TTD officials, continuous digital monitoring, coordinated queue-line management and deployment of additional staff have considerably reduced congestion and improved devotee movement towards darshan.

Officials said the Integrated Command Control Centre was constantly monitoring Vaikuntham Queue Complexes, Narayanagiri sheds, Annaprasadam centres, roads, parking areas and temple surroundings through hundreds of CCTV cameras installed across Tirumala.

Crowd movement, queue flow and devotee density are being analysed round the clock to enable immediate administrative response whenever required.

Particularly at Narayanagiri sheds and Vaikuntham Queue Complexes, crowd levels are being digitally assessed and devotees are being allowed in batches to maintain smooth movement and avoid overcrowding.

TTD has also intensified arrangements for drinking water, milk distribution, Annaprasadam and medical services at various waiting points to ensure devotee comfort during the summer season.

The latest statistics released by TTD indicated a sharp increase in devotee turnout this year compared to the previous two years.

Between May 1 and May 12, a total of 9,27,420 devotees had darshan in 2026, compared to 8,10,942 during the same period in 2025 and 8,49,881 in 2024.

Significantly, on May 2 this year, a record 91,005 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara, the highest single-day figure recorded so far this month.

The figure was substantially higher than the 74,344 devotees recorded on the corresponding day in 2025 and 65,313 in 2024.

TTD officials said that on weekends, particularly Saturdays and Sundays, more than 85,000 devotees are being provided darshan, while efforts are underway to facilitate darshan for over 75,000 devotees every day during the ongoing summer rush.

The month-wise summer rush statistics over the last three years also show a steady rise in pilgrim inflow.

In March 2026, Tirumala recorded 22.28 lakh devotees compared to 21.31 lakh in March 2025 and 21.10 lakh in March 2024.

In April this year, 21.65 lakh devotees had darshan against 20.73 lakh in 2025 and 20.17 lakh in 2024.

Officials expressed confidence that the technology-driven crowd management system would further help streamline darshan operations and provide devotees with a smoother pilgrimage experience during the peak summer season.
