Octave opens global technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad; to drive global tech capabilities
Hyderabad, Aug 26 (TNT): Octave Intelligence plc , a global provider of software for mission-critical facilities and infrastructure, on Tuesday inaugurated its Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Hyderabad, strengthening the city’s position as a hub for global technology and innovation.
The centre was inaugurated by Telangana Information Technology and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu in the presence of Octave CEO Mattias Stenberg, other ther senior company leaders and Telangana IT Advisor Sai Krishna.
Around two lakh sq ft in HITEC City, including the Experience Centre and office spaces across multiple floors, the centre will serve as a global technology and innovation hub for Octave, with teams working across software engineering, artificial intelligence, data, cloud and product development, the company said.
The centre will contribute to the development of technologies and solutions for Octave’s customers worldwide, particularly in industries involving complex assets and infrastructure that require real-time intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
The facility also houses an Experience Centre where customers, partners and other stakeholders can experience Octave’s products, innovations and AI-driven solutions through demonstrations and real-world use cases.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad was increasingly becoming the first choice for global companies establishing their first global capability centres (GCCs) and entering India.
“We welcomed 75 new GCCs last year and are now targeting 100 more by next year,” he said, adding that the capabilities being built in Hyderabad had become increasingly diverse and sophisticated across sectors.
He said the growing ecosystem spanning sports technology, media, hospitality, travel, capital markets, trading, utilities and energy was helping build a diverse innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad.
Mattias Stenberg said the Hyderabad centre would support the company’s next phase of growth, citing the city’s engineering talent, technology ecosystem and culture of innovation.
The centre represents more than an expansion of Octave’s physical presence and is an investment in its people and capabilities that will contribute to the company’s future, he said.
Octave serves more than 60 per cent of the Global Fortune 500 and approximately 4,500 customers across 180 countries, according to the company.
The company’s technologies connect data across the asset lifecycle, from design and engineering to operations, maintenance and safety, enabling organisations to use AI and advanced analytics to improve reliability, productivity, safety, sustainability and decision-making.
Octave India Vice President (Product and Services) Sekhar Konidena said the Hyderabad centre would deepen the company’s capabilities across software engineering, AI, data, cloud and product development.
Octave has approximately 7,200 employees across 45 countries, the company said.
