Two-day Andhra Pradesh Collectors’ conference from May 7

Amaravati, May 6 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  N. Chandrababu Naidu will chair the seventh Collectors’ Conference to be held on May 7 and 8 at the State Secretariat in Amaravati.

The conference assumes significance as it follows a series of district-wise review meetings recently conducted by the Chief Minister with public representatives.

According to the government, the two-day conference aims to enhance administrative efficiency, review implementation of development and welfare programmes and provide clear direction to district administrations.

On the first day, the Chief Minister will review matters relating to Swarnandhra, Ten Principles, district-wise Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth, implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, grievance redressal mechanisms, grounding of investment projects, file clearances, administrative efficiency and progress of Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) initiatives.

Select district collectors will also present best practices implemented in their districts, with successful models likely to be considered for replication across the State.

The Chief Minister will further review the progress of best practices presented during the fifth and sixth Collectors’ Conferences.

On the second day, discussions will focus on the Sanjeevani programme, summer action plan, Super Six initiatives, welfare schemes, revenue and income-generating departments, education, skill development and law and order.

District Superintendents of Police will participate in the post-lunch session on the second day of the conference.

The government said the conference is aimed at ensuring better last-mile delivery of services, stronger inter-departmental coordination, replication of innovative governance practices and faster execution of development and investment projects.
