Hyderabad, Apr 13 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Monday extended greetings and paid rich tributes to B. R. Ambedkar on the eve of his 135th birth anniversary, describing him as one of the greatest sons of India and the chief architect of the Constitution.
In a message, the Governor said Ambedkar’s life stood as a testament to the triumph of the human spirit over adversity and highlighted his contributions as a visionary social reformer and eminent jurist committed to justice, equality and empowerment of the marginalized.
He said Ambedkar’s legacy serves as a reminder to protect the rights of the poor and downtrodden and continues to inspire generations.
The Governor noted that the occasion provides an opportunity for citizens to reaffirm their commitment to constitutional ideals and values, and called upon people to work towards building a just and inclusive society.
Urging unity and fraternity, he appealed to citizens to collectively strive to uphold the principles envisioned by Ambedkar and contribute to the nation’s progress.
