Telangana CM Reaffirms Focus on Tribal Development, Orders Fast-Track Clearances

Hyderabad, Apr 13 (TNT):Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday reiterated the government’s commitment to the comprehensive development of Adivasi and tribal communities, with a focus on addressing infrastructure gaps in agency areas.

A delegation of tribal MLAs led by ST Welfare Minister Seethakka met the Chief Minister and raised issues concerning development in tribal-dominated regions.

Responding to their concerns, Reddy said priority would be given to the construction of check dams to meet drinking water and irrigation needs, and assured that necessary forest clearances for infrastructure projects would be expedited.

He added that proposals to enhance housing under the Indiramma scheme and strengthen Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) would be considered.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to resolve pending issues related to road construction and permissions in tribal areas at the earliest.
