Union Govt reconstitutes CBFC with 18 members for three years

New Delhi, Sept 16 (TNT): The Government of India on Wednesday reconstituted the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with immediate effect for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The reconstitution was carried out by the Central Government under Section 3(1) of the Cinematograph Act, 1952, read with Rule 3 of the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024.

The reconstituted Board comprises 18 members, including Manoj Joshi, Ricky Kej, Priyadarshan, Suniel Shetty, Hansraj Hans, Supriya Yarlagadda, Roopali Ganguly, Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Pallavi Joshi.

The other members are Vinod Anupam, Abhishek Jain, Yatindra Mishra, Neela Madhab Panda, Nishigandha Wad, Waman Kendre and Ramesh Patange.

The notification regarding the reconstitution was issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Wednesday.
