Bengaluru, Apr 24(TNT): Wipro Limited on Friday announced a strategic partnership with Kongsberg Digital to deploy next-generation AI-powered digital twin solutions for the energy and utilities sector.
The collaboration will combine Wipro’s consulting-led approach and its AI platforms, including Wipro Intelligence solutions such as Industrial-AssetsAI and UpstreamAI, with Kongsberg Digital’s Industrial Work Surface platform to enhance operational efficiency, safety and reliability across complex industrial assets, the IT company said in a release here.
Srikumar Rao, Managing Partner and Global Head of Engineering at Wipro, said the partnership aims to integrate AI, engineering and operational insights to help enterprises build autonomous and resilient operations capable of handling complex environments.
The joint offering will provide a unified digital environment integrating physics-based engineering models, real-time operational data and enterprise AI.
The digital twin solutions are expected to mirror real-time conditions across plants, grids and distributed assets, enabling improved decision-making and performance optimisation.
Shane McArdle, CEO of Kongsberg Digital, said the partnership would help scale digital twin capabilities, enabling customers to translate insights into operational outcomes more efficiently.
Under the agreement, both companies will work on a joint roadmap to expand AI-powered digital twin deployments across energy and utilities environments, helping organisations accelerate digital transformation, improve safety and sustainability, and enhance overall operational resilience.
