Vizag to Host First Comic Con on October 10-11
Visakhapatnam, Sept 29 (TNT): Visakhapatnam will host its first-ever Comic Con on October 10 and 11 at the Kalam Convention Centre, AMTZ Campus, bringing together comics, anime, gaming, music, stand-up comedy and pop-culture experiences.
Maruti Suzuki presents Vizag Comic Con will feature creators, artists, performers and interactive attractions as Comic Con India launches its new season with the event.
The comics and visual storytelling line-up will include Urban Tales, Ubharta Kalakar by Dhruv, Bullseye Press, Holy Cow Entertainment, Lilorosh, Studio Kapi, Yali Dream Creations, Dizon Draws and Rage Sage.
Visitors will have an opportunity to explore comics, graphic novels, illustrations, digital art and original storytelling, besides interacting with creators.
The musical performances will feature Telugu hip-hop artist Roll Rida, also known as Rahul Kumar Velpula, and Vizag-based independent rapper C-SHOR.
The 9TEEN, comprising Lav, Arun and Abhilash, and Fluteboxers, a flute and beatbox duo, will also perform at the event.
The organisers said the line-up aims to provide a platform for local and emerging artists from Visakhapatnam and the wider Telugu creative community, spanning rap, hip-hop, pop and experimental music.
Stand-up comedians Kumar Varun, Gokul Kumar and Vivek Muralidharan will entertain audiences with performances featuring observational humour, storytelling and punchlines.
The two-day event will also feature gaming zones, virtual reality experiences, brand activations and other interactive attractions alongside comics, anime and live entertainment.
The event marks Comic Con India’s debut in Visakhapatnam and is expected to bring together fans and creators for a celebration of comics, gaming and contemporary pop culture.
