Vizag : GVMC to hold three-day Town Planning Open Forum from Sept 15

Visakhapatnam, Sept 13 (TNT): The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) will conduct a three-day Special Town Planning Open Forum from September 15 to 17 to expedite the resolution of pending issues relating to APDPMS, TDR Online and LRS, Commissioner Ketan Garg said on Sunday.

The forum will be held from 10.30 am to 5 pm on all three days at the Conference Hall of the GVMC Head Office, he said.

Citizens from all zones of GVMC can attend the forum with the necessary documents and bring their pending issues before the officials.

The forum will deal exclusively with pending building approvals and related issues through APDPMS, TDR Online issues and LRS applications.

Garg said the Special Town Planning Open Forum conducted on September 10 and 11 had received an overwhelming response from the public.

The presence of citizens, Town Planning officials and Licensed Technical Persons (LTPs) at one place enabled direct scrutiny of pending applications and helped expedite their resolution.

In view of the response, another three-day special drive was being organised to provide an additional opportunity to citizens to resolve their pending issues, he said.

Applicants were advised to attend the forum with complete details of their pending applications and all necessary documents. The concerned officials would examine the applications and take appropriate action in accordance with the prescribed rules, the Commissioner said.

He appealed to citizens having pending APDPMS, TDR Online and LRS issues to make effective use of the Special Town Planning Open Forum being held at the GVMC Head Office on September 15, 16 and 17.
