VIT Chancellor donates Rs 1-cr to AP CMRF for cyclone relief
Amaravati, Nov 4 (TNT) : VIT Chancellor G Viswanathan on Wednesday donated Rs 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) towards relief and rehabilitation of people affected by cyclones Arnab and Murasu.
Viswanathan handed over a demand draft to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Amaravati.
He said VIT-AP University, Amaravati, considered it its responsibility to stand with the people of the state during natural calamities and had been contributing to social causes, disaster relief and community development.
VIT Vice-Presidents Sankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan, and VIT-AP University Registrar Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti were present on the occasion.
