Vice Prz Radhakrishnan to launch India’s first non-GMO high expansion popcorn maize hybrid seed in AP

Amaravati, Aug 23 (TNT): Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan will visit Musunuru in Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday , where he will launch India’s first non-GMO high-expansion popcorn maize hybrid seed.

During his visit, Radhakrishnan will attend a programme at the Gourmet Popcornica Factory in Musunuru and interact with agricultural stakeholders and other participants, an official release said here on Sunday.

He will also felicitate farmers during the programme and address farmers and other stakeholders on the occasion.

The launch of the indigenous non-GMO high-expansion popcorn maize hybrid seed is expected to mark a significant development in the country’s popcorn maize sector and provide farmers with access to an improved hybrid variety.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minsiter N.Chandrababu Naidu will also participate in the event.
