Tirupati, Apr 24 (TNT): The 296th Jayanthi of saint-poet Tarigonda Vengamamba, an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara, will be celebrated on April 29 and 30 at Tarigonda, Tirumala and Tirupati.
According to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), a series of religious and cultural programmes have been organised across the three locations.
At Tarigonda, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at 7 a.m. on April 30, followed by Pushpanjali to Vengamamba’s statue at 11 a.m. Cultural programmes, including Sankirtana Gosti Ganam and Harikatha, will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In Tirupati, literary seminars on Vengamamba’s works will be conducted at Annamacharya Kalamandiram on both days at 10 a.m., with eminent scholars participating. Music and Harikatha programmes are scheduled at 6 p.m., while Pushpanjali will be offered at the Vengamamba statue at MR Palli Circle at 9 a.m. on April 30.
At Tirumala, Pushpanjali will be offered at the Vengamamba Brindavanam at 4.30 p.m. on April 30, followed by a procession of the Lord at Narayanagiri Gardens at 5.30 p.m. Cultural programmes by Annamacharya Project artistes and SV Music and Dance College will be held from 6 p.m. to 7.15 p.m.
The celebrations will conclude with Anugraha Bhashanam by Vidyashankara Bharati Swamy.
