Hyderabad, Apr 19 (TNT) : On the occasion of the upcoming Yamuna River Pushkaralu, a poster designed by Inti Lakshmi Durga, Founder-President of Jeevanadi Foundation, was unveiled by Dr Umar Alisha Swami, the ninth pontiff of the Sri Vishwa Vignana Vidya Spiritual Peetham here on Sunday.
The event was organised jointly by the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust and Jeevanadi Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that members of Jeevanadi Foundation are actively engaged in cleaning rivers as part of environmental protection efforts.
He also called for a ban on the use of plastic.
The programme was attended by Gidugu Kanti Krishna, Founder-President of the Gidugu Rammurthy Foundation, and Dr Sunil Kumar Yandra, National Media Coordinator of Jeevanadi Foundation.
