TTD performs Koil Alwar Tirumanjnam at new Delhi temple ahead of annual brahmotsavams
Tirupati, Apr 28 (TNT): Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was performed with religious fervour at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in New Delhi on Tuesday, ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams scheduled from May 1 to 9.
The rituals began in the early hours with Suprabhatam, followed by Thomala Seva, Koluvu and Panchanga Sravanam. The cleansing ritual was conducted from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
During the ceremony, the temple premises, walls, ceiling and puja materials were thoroughly cleaned and sanctified. A sacred mixture of aromatic ingredients like turmeric, sandalwood, camphor and other traditional substances was sprinkled across the temple.
Local Advisory Committee Chairman Sri Sumanth Reddy, Temple Inspectors Sri Ranganayak and Sri Uday Kumar, priests and officials participated in the programme.
