TTD Cancels VIP Break Darshan on October 1, 5

Tirumala, Sept 29 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)  has cancelled VIP Break Darshan, except for protocol VIPs, on October 1 and 5 in view of the anticipated heavy pilgrim rush during the Peratasi month and ensuing holidays.

Around 80,000 devotees are having darshan of Lord Venkateswara daily, while another 30,000 devotees arriving on the same day are being accommodated for darshan the following day, resulting in longer waiting times for pilgrims, TTD said in a release on Tuesday.

To facilitate quicker darshan for common devotees, TTD has decided to suspend VIP Break Darshan on the two days.

Consequently, recommendation letters for Break Darshan will not be accepted on September 30 and October 4, the days preceding the cancellation dates.

TTD has appealed to devotees to take note of the decision and extend their cooperation in view of the expected heavy pilgrim rush.
