TSCS Prez Agrawal and its Sr Vice-Prez Kottapalli honoured with Indian Humanitarian Award
Hyderabad, Sept 16 (TNT): Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) President Dr Chandrakant Agrawal and its Senior Vice President Mrs Ratnavali Kottapalli have been honoured with the Indian Humanitarian Award by the Indian Book of Records for their contributions to healthcare and community welfare.
The award recognises their leadership and service in areas including voluntary blood donation, patient welfare, education and community development.
The Indian Book of Records recognised their work through the Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society, particularly their efforts in awareness, prevention, patient care, advocacy and educational support for patients and their families.
The recognition also acknowledged their initiatives aimed at supporting patients, families, voluntary blood donors, healthcare professionals, volunteers and social organisations.
The award was adjudicated by Dr Pavani, M Akshaya Gayathri and Chakilam Vishal, according to the organisers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Agrawal said the recognition was a tribute to patients, families, voluntary blood donors, healthcare professionals and volunteers working towards a healthier and more compassionate society.
He said the award strengthened his resolve to continue supporting healthcare, awareness and community welfare initiatives, particularly in the field of thalassemia and sickle cell disorders.
