Tirupati: Govindaraja Swamy Blesses Devotees on Surya Prabha Vahanam; Rathotsavam on May 30
Tirupati, May 29 (TNT): Lord Sri Govindaraja Swamy blessed devotees on the Surya Prabha Vahanam on Friday morning as part of the seventh day of the annual Brahmotsavams at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple.
The Vahana Seva was conducted from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. amid devotional fervour, with Chekka Bhajans, Kolatam performances, Kerala drum troupes and Mangala Vadyams adding to the spiritual atmosphere.
Devotees offered harathis and chanted “Govinda” throughout the procession as the deity, mounted on the Surya Prabha Vahanam, symbolised the radiance and glory of the Sun God.
Later, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The ritual included ceremonial bathing with milk, curd, honey, sandal paste and fruit juices.
As part of the evening festivities, Unjal Seva will be held from 5.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the Chandra Prabha Vahanam procession from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The temple administration announced that the grand Rathotsavam will be conducted on May 30 at 5.40 a.m.
TTD officials, temple priests and a large number of devotees participated in the Vahana Seva.
