Tirumala: Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams to be held from October 12 to 20
Tirumala, Sept 27 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will organise the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams from October 12 to 20 in view of Adhika Masam, which occurs once every three years as per the Chandramana calendar, during the month of Ashwayuja.
A unique feature of this year’s Adhika Masa Brahmotsavams is that Dwajarohanam, Pedda Radham and Dwajavarohanam will not be held during the nine-day festivities.
All vahana sevas will be conducted in the morning from 8 am to 10 am and in the evening from 7 pm to 9 pm, except for the prestigious Garuda Vahanam, which will be held from 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm on October 16, TTD said in a release here on Sunday.
The festival will commence with Ankurarpanam on October 11 from 7 pm to 9 pm, followed by the Bangaru Tiruchi Utsavam at 9 am and Pedda Sesha Vahanam from 7 pm to 9 pm on October 12.
The vahana sevas on October 13 will include Chinna Sesha Vahanam from 8 am to 10 am and Hamsa Vahanam from 7 pm to 9 pm.
On October 14, the deities will be taken out on Simha Vahanam in the morning and Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam in the evening.
Kalpavriksha Vahanam in the morning and Sarvabhoopala Vahanam in the evening will be held on October 15.
On October 16, Mohini Avataram will be observed from 8 am to 10 am, followed by the Garuda Vahanam from 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm.
Hanumanta Vahanam will be held on the morning of October 17, followed by Pushpaka Vimanam at 4 pm and Gaja Vahanam from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Surya Prabha Vahanam and Chandra Prabha Vahanam will be held on October 18, respectively, in the morning and evening.
The Swarna Ratham will be conducted at 7 am on October 19, followed by Ashwa Vahanam from 7 pm to 9 pm.
The nine-day festivities will conclude with Chakrasnanam at 6 am on October 20.
