Three Singareni workers injured in SRP-3 mine accident in Telangana’s Mancherial Dist.

Mancherial (Telangana), July 2 (TNT): Three workers were injured in an accident at the SRP-3 underground mine in the Srirampur area of Mancherial district on Thursday after a side wall collapsed while they were working inside the mine.

The injured workers—Sampath Kumar, Mahender and Ravikumar—were shifted to the Singareni Area Hospital for treatment.

One of the injured workers is stated to be in a serious condition, while the condition of the other two is reported to be stable.

Meanwhile Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, who reviewed the incident, asked the ls e Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) senior officials to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident and whether any negligence was involved.

The MP directed Singareni authorities to ensure immediate and priority medical treatment for the injured workers and monitor their condition closely.

He also stressed the need to accord top priority to worker safety and ensure strict adherence to all prescribed safety protocols in Singareni mines to prevent such incidents.

He assured that he would continue to monitor the situation and ensure all necessary assistance is extended to the injured workers.
