Telangana to Extend ‘Prajavani’ Services to Mandal Level; CM Sets Deadlines for Grievance Redressal

Hyderabad,Apr 26 (TNT): Chief Minsiter A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday directed officials to expand the ‘Prajavani’ grievance redressal system to the grassroots level across Telangana, with services to be launched at Revenue Division and Mandal levels.

At a review meeting held at MCHRD Institute in Hyderabad, Revanth instructed Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior officials to ensure that Prajavani services are brought closer to people, reducing the need to travel to Hyderabad or district headquarters.

The Prajavani programme, launched on December 8, 2023, has been conducted regularly at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan every Tuesday and Friday, enabling citizens to submit grievances directly to officials from various departments.

The Chief Minister directed that all complaints be properly registered, forwarded to concerned departments, and tracked through a unified digital platform.

He called for real-time monitoring through dashboards at both district and state levels and stressed that applicants must be kept informed about the status of their petitions.

Emphasising accountability, the CM instructed all departments to set strict deadlines for resolving grievances and warned officials against any delays.

He said officers concerned would be held responsible for lapses in addressing public complaints.

To strengthen the system, the government will appoint dedicated nodal officers at every level and establish specialised Prajavani wings in all districts and departments.

An auto-escalation mechanism will also be introduced to forward unresolved grievances to higher authorities, along with a provision for appeals if required.

The Chief Minister underlined that decentralising Prajavani services would reduce the burden on existing centres and ensure quicker resolution of issues, adding that the system should be implemented meticulously to build public trust and confidence.
