Telangana rolls out meeseva doorstep delivery; over 3,800 citizens avail services at home within first month of operation

Hyderabad, Oct 23 (TNT) : Telangana’s newly launched doorstep delivery initiative for citizen services has received 3,885 requests on its dedicated toll-free helpline within the first month of operation, the state government said on Friday.

Under the initiative, rolled out under the direction of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) Minister D. Sridhar Babu, citizens can access key MeeSeva and identity services from home without visiting physical centres or standing in queues.

The home-delivery portfolio covers essential civil documentation, including Income, Caste, Residence, Birth, and Death certificates, alongside Aadhaar enrolment and demographic updates.

According to the department, citizens can access the service by calling toll-free number 1100 or lodging a formal request on the MeeSeva citizen portal.

Following registration, a trained MeeSeva Doorstep field executive visits the applicant’s residence at the scheduled time to complete biometric verifications, document processing, and service delivery.

The facility is currently operational across designated CURE (Core Urban Region) areas on a pilot basis, subject to applicable service charges, before being scaled state-wide.

The initiative forms part of the state’s broader ‘Telangana Rising’ governance framework, designed to deploy digital infrastructure and last-mile administration to expand transparency and ease of living for residents
